Social exposes our thinking and insights to a broader audience faster than ever before, as everyone is an author and has followers, friends and contacts. The process of curating that audience, engaging with them and retaining their interest lies in sharing content which is compelling to them.
There are many opinions about the right mix of curating, developing and sharing of content.. Some people only use social as a sales vehicle to push their own content. Others are hesitant to put their own thoughts out there and only feel comfortable sharing things created by others. However, for social to be done well, there must be a mix; not only finding one's own voice and presenting authentic and transparent thinking, but also in sharing content that was created by others.
